How to deal with not getting the part

Hey girls today I want to tell you how to deal with not getting a part. This can be like in a musical, play, sports team, etc. First of all i know how it feels so this advice is not spurted out from some advice coloum,book, or website just like my other posts.  However some of these tips do come from my director.So lets get started.
How to deal with not getting the part

• Don't make enemies with the person that got the part (who knows maybe for the next performance she can give you pointers so that you can make the part next time.
• As my director says " you have 24 hours to be sad" (when you don't the part that you want its ok to feel sad. Go home and indulge on one of your favorite snacks that you don't get all the time, but ask your parents first. Also do something that lifts up your spirits so that when you come to school the next day you'll feel a whole lot better when you see the person that did get your part the next day.
•  Don't dwell on the part you didn't get (think positively. If you got chorus try to be the best chorus member you can be. Show up on time, don't talk when the directors trying to, and try you best to be the all around best so that when the director is trying to decide who should be the understudy for the part or that shining he or she will look to you.

I hope these tips helped. I know how it feels to not get the part, but remember and I quoting Annie "Just thinkin' about tomorrow  will help you see ahead. Also remember that this production doesn't last long so make the most of it, add new friends to that growing list, show those cool dance moves or that high note that every one thinks is amazing, and have fun. Even after all of that and you still feel down think about this, Smile. Have the biggest smile in the whole chorus because once it's everyone singing and you have that big grin on you face maybe yearbook staff will see it and take your picture. You are one of a kind no matter what part you get in your school production its be amazing becuase you joined without every one that joined and didn't get the part they wouldn't have a show to even put on. Think about that, and

Tips for if he has a girlfriend

Hey girls today I got a comment from a viewer that said that they like a guy that has a girlfriend that she thinks isn't right for him. I am going through something very similar right now so I know what you are going through.
Tips for if he has a girlfriend

• I know it might sound easier to confront him and say you think that she is not good for her but that is one of the worst things you can do because he might think that you are paying way to much attention to him and he might find that clingy (boys are like that they don't like for anyone to be clingy to them they like to get a way for a while)
• I know this might sound shallow but befriend his girlfriend ( if he see that you get along with his girlfriend then he will think that you are the kind of girl that he would like. Where as if you fight with her than you will look like the girl that doesn't share the same views) and make sure he sees you talking to her so he sees you getting along with her so when they break up he will know you might be a girl he might like.

I'm sorry i don't have a lot of tips for this one but I have been doing these and they seem to be working if you just give him simple hints and he will eventually get it. Hope this helps.

Tips for crushes Parte Dos

Hey girls today i got a request from a veiwer to answer this question Hey can you please do a post on how to work up the courage to talk to your crush and ask him out?  Do't worry o veiwer of mine I will help you with your dilema. From your question it sounds like you are fairly shy; do correct me if i am wrong this means it might be hard for you to work up the courage to ask him to go out or just to talk to him, but hopefully with the help of these few tips you can workup the courage to talk to him.
Tips for working up the courage to talk to your crush.

• Talk to a good friend (you both can come up with a plan to get rid of those jitters when it comes to your crush)
• Make a playbook ( this will help you to know where and when he should be for the most prime location to ask him out or to just talk to him)
• create a script ( this is good if your a drama queen but want to dial it down a knotch, I usually come up with my scripts on the way home from school or while I'm getting ready for bed.)
• Practice, Practice, Practice ( just like any thing you need to do, you can even practice infront of "Him" by this i mean grab the yearbook from the past year scan it, enlarge his face and print it out and voila you have a perfect practice friend also if you want you can tape it to an old doll of stuffed animal; like candice from phineas and ferb
• Go to school and try out you scenario that you and your friend come up with (if you want then you can do some flirty moves that say i love you; body language is key

How to use a ziploc bag for piping

Hey girls today i wanted to talk about how to use a Ziploc or sandwich bag instead of a piping bag. 
How to use a Ziploc for piping

1. get a Ziploc bag
2. get a tall glass and put the bag in it with the top of the bag wrap around the lip of the glass
3. put n your frosting or icing making sure not to pull the bag off of the lip
4. pick bag up off of glass 
5. close the bag and cut a whole in the corner of the bag to accommodate what you are going to do.
6. push the icing to the end of the bag and begin your frosting

Organize your life 1. Locker

Hey girls today I wanted to do my first installment of Organize your life. This week i wanted to talk about how to organize your locker so lets get started.

1. Get a locker shelf. If you have a big locker then you can put two in but if you have a medium sized locker then you can only use one, but they are really useful so i would suggest getting one. They go for about $6-$7 so they are fairly inexpensive and last a long time
2. Instead of having a ton of extra school supplies all over your locker you can get a pencil holder or even a big pencil bag with organizer slots
3. Clean out you locker periodically. Even the most organized people have a few stray papers and such so it couldn't hurt.
4. if you have individual folders line them up in the order of classes you have so you don't have to spend so much time searching for the one that is for your next class.

I hope this helped all the girls who are just starting school that has lockers, and all the girls who needed a little help organizing there lockers.

Apple cupcakes

Hey girls today I will have my first recipe. Apple cupcakes. These are perfect for an end of the year present for your teacher (you know like an apple on the desk). Well I will have a step by step instructions (including pictures).

Ingredients:

cake mix (any cake mix will do)
and  the ingredients needed to make   

donuts (optional)

cupcake liners (it's cuter if
 they are red but I couldn't find the red) 

food coloring (if you don't have
 pre-dyed frosting) 

a bowl

Ziploc close able bag (or
if you have  a piping bag use that

How to make them:

line your cupcake tins with the liners

                            

                 Put vanilla frosting or pre dyed frosting into

 Ziploc bags or pastry bag

(add as much red food coloring to

 get it an apple red or pink, green, 

and to get brown I used a couple drops each

 of yellow and red and then I added a

 drop of green. Smoosh the bags around or mix

 them in a bowl and there you go.)

Make sure your donuts (if you are using them) fit in your cupcake
 liners to make sure they will fit on top of your cupcakes.

Time to make them

Mix the cupcake batter and put in some red food dye to make them cuter

Put them in the oven and bake for 

10 to 12 minutes or until a tooth pick put in the center comes out  cleanly

Take them out of the oven ( if you are

younger have an adult take them out)

Let cool for about about 5 m minutes or

until they are cool to the touch 

Put the red or pink frosting on them 

put a donut (optional) on top and ice on 

top of the donut with the same frosting

take your brown frosting and pipe in the 

center of the donut. Pipe the green in as a leaf shape. 

Optional: cut the donut into little triangle shapes 

and put them on top of the brown frosting.

Hey girls I realized after I wrote the blog post about asking a boy if he likes you that sometimes the boy will say no. These are tips you can do to get over a crush.

• Take all the photos you have of him and either burn them with a bunch of your friends, shred them, or just use old fashion scissors. (I am shredding them)
• Get a group of friends and just talk (who knows they might have the same things going on in there life's 
• Know that this happens to a lot of girls you shouldn't feel like your the only one.

Tips for asking a guy if he likes you

Hey girls a viewer asked me how I found out that the guy I like likes me. Well It was after the band concert and we played a great show. After the concert I simply just asked him because some people have told me he does others he doesn't so I just asked it isn't that hard, but for the people that think I'm crazy here a few tips for you girls to ask the guy that you like if he likes you. 

Tips for asking a guy if he likes you

• Take a few online tests (see if they say that he likes you)
• Ask around (ask some of his friends if he likes any one [don't ask them if he likes you because if you don't want him to know that you like him])
• Find the perfect place ( you don't want to ask him right before a nervous test or when he is busy because he might not be able to hear or pay attention to what you are saying)
• ask him (it couldn't be more simpler, but you could always motivate your self by saying to yourself "you can do it you can do it" that's what helped me

Tips for how to avoid getting tangled in the pressure to be a " perfect" image

Hey girls today at school we had two girls come in. They were from an orginisation called REbeL. They had few simple things that I am all for, but mainly they talked about how to avoid pressure from peers, and from the media. I am going to list what they put, and a few of my own weaved in. If it is my own I will have my usual format, but if it is from the girls I will put a (REbeL) next to it. So here we go
Tips for how to avoid getting tangled in the pressure to be a " perfect" image

• If you read magazines (who doesn't) and you see an add that makes you feel bad about yourself either rip it out or just back sass it (say you are airbrushed, photo shopped, and not real) (REbeL)
• Every morning go to the mirror and say to yourself words of encouragement and what you think is "Good" in your life        (a daily affirmation of sorts)
• Drop you baggage (things that stress you out) people can't hug with all of them  (REbeL)
• Know the simple fact that you are you and no one can change that ( you need to know that no matter what stupid diet or clothes you try doesn't change you  (REbeL)

More segments

Avery's Bucket list really made me thinking that if enough of you comment saying you like it I might just have a weekly inspirational story. You don't need a blogger account to comment just say " I like Avery's blog" or "I like inspirational stories" and I will add an inspirational story every Sunday. Also I might have a weekly recipe segment so send in your recipes (shouts out to ms Qaddour) just send me your recipes. I would love to try them and put them on my blog. You are probably asking "why cooking on this blog for tips for girls?" Well I think it is good for a girl to know how to cook even if it is just instant pasta that takes five minutes so get those old cookbooks or go to any recipe website, and find one. Trust me I will try them because I love to cook.

Avery's bucket list

Hey girls if you like babies or people with disabilities fighting strongly then keep reading. I was reading a story on yahoo, and maybe you have seen it. It is about a baby girl that was diagnosed with a disease called SMA or Spinal Muscular Atrophy which means that not only will she lose her ability to move, but lose her life. The parents of this little girl learned from their doctor that this girl only had 18 months to live, and they came up with an idea. Instead of just sitting there crying over there little baby for their remaining year and a half they were going to make the best of it. SO they created a bucket list for this little girl, and they made a blog to show all the things this baby has done. Well I checked out the blog, and not only is this little girl adorable, but she has accomplished a lot, and is fighting strong. Baby Avery's story really touched my heart. I really would encourage you to see the blog, and support them. They also want you to spread the word, and try to help all the babies and small children with the disorder by giving money to    the Fight SMA website, but I would encourage you just to check out Avery's Bucket list blog it is so cute what she can do. You would never think that a baby could do all that.

Girlgeeked Glasses

Hey girls today as promised I said I was going to teach you how to make glasses to spice up your friend life or just to have fun with
What you will need

• Kiddy sunglasses (can be purchased at your local dollar store)
• Duct tape in all different colors and patterns (also can be purchased at your local dollar store or craft store, but is optional)
• newspaper
• Sharpie markers (or permanent markers)
• A sense of creativity (you will need this to design your glasses)
• Paper
• Glue or tape
• Felt (optional)
• scissors
• Colorful Glue (optional)
• anything else you think would be awesome to put on you glasses (like glitter, rhinestones, etc.)
• string (optional)

So lets begin

1. Get your supplies and ask a parents permission (you wouldn't want you parents to be mad at you for using those sunglasses that were going to be saved for your little cousin)
2. Lay out newspaper on a table or hard surface to make sure if you use paint or sharpie or glue that it won't end up on you kitchen table or desk
3. Draw your design on a piece of paper so you don't have to do it later
4. Take the glasses and pop out the "glass" part of them (you might need a parent. Although it might look easy it might not be to be those things out0
5. wrap the colorful duct tape around the glasses rim to give it a pop (this step might make drawing on it a lot easier)
6. Take the permanent markers and draw on you glasses according to the design on you paper
7. take the glitter glue and draw along the lines you drew to give it that pop
8. you can tape things on to you glasses as well like stars or hearts (just draw them on paper and cut them out and glue or tape them to your glasses
9. If you taped or glued stuff to your glasses put a layer of tape around the whole thing to keep it together so they don't fall off
10. Wear you glasses to a party or just around the house (if you are just getting glasses through a sleepover or get together and give them out as "I just got new glasses and I want you to have some too" party favors.It might make you feel better knowing that you need glasses but your friends have them too.)

For a fun twist try this.
What you will need

• felt
• 2 pieces of string
• hot glue
• scissors
• the need for a mustache
• a pencil

1. Take your newly girlgeeked glasses and set them on the newspaper
2. draw a mustache on the felt or you can look it up on google images
3. cut the mustache out
4. take the hot glue gun (ask an adult if you are younger) and glue the mustache to the string (one peice on each end)
5. glue the string to the glasses (it might be time consuming but it works
6. show off your mustache girlgeeked glasses to all of your jealous friends(they will be jealous because of your mustache

If you do either the girlgeeked glasses or the the girlgeeked mustache glasses take a picture of them and send it to me I would love to see it.

Hey girls in my last post i said I was going to talk about glasses. So here are a few tips for how to cope with glasses.
Tips for glasses

• If it is your first time go to an eye doctor or glasses place to try on different styles (everytim I go to get new glasses I can be there for hours)
• If you don't like the thought of having something on your face you can ask if you can get contact lenses (I don't particularly like the thought of something inside my eyes, but that's my opinion)
• find someone at school who you don't know that has glasses and say hi (You never know you might make a new friend) trust me will notice more people with glasses
• grab a few friends and have fun (a fun craft is buying some plastic sunglasses pop, pop the tinted plastic out, and decorate them with your friends. It will make you feel good that you friends have glasses too if they don't have glasses, but if they do you already will feel good

Having glasses isn't  a bad thing. It actually makes you more outstanding from your peers. These new glasses that I have make my eyes pop which makes people notice my eyes more. I am always getting complements about my eyes then I did before I got these glasses.

Hey girls a viewer recently commented saying that her friend failed the eye exam at school (you know the test that you cover one eye and read a board). she also says she is having trouble seeing the board in class, and is always having to use her notes. The girls friend thinks that her vision is fine and that she doesn't need glasses, and threw the note away thinking it was a mistake. This viewer is worried that her friends vision will get worse. Well I think that i have the perfect solution for you
Tips for how to tell a friend you think she needs glasses

• Tell her that you are worried about her (to show concern shows you care0
• Tell her what you want to tell her (say something like "hey (enter name here) I have been noticing that you can not see the board that good anymore I think you might need glasses")
• If she objects say you can tell her that glasses will make her look good and there is a lot of styles to choose from
• If you have glasses you can assure her that it won't change who she is

Tips for zits

Hey girls today I will talk about zits. I know I have always talked about what we feel inside, but today is different. I want to talk about zits because I have one that I am trying to get rid of( not to mention all of the others I have).

Tips for zits
~Wash you face before bed or in the morning (or you can do what I do. Take your soap that you use to wash you face and do the face washing procedure in the shower. You will be multi tasking not to mention it is great for your pores)
 ~After washing your face use an acne cream ( I like Oxy 10% benzoyl peroxide, but that's just me. Experiment to what works for you)
~If the blemish is at you hair line, and you have bangs clip them back ( your hair can contain oils that can just make the zit worse)
~If you wear makeup regularly don't put it on you zits, and make sure to remove the makeup before bed (the makeup contains irritants that can make the zit worse or cause others to appear)
~DO NOT under any circumstances POP it ( the icky stuff that is in you zit can spread to the res of you skin causing more pimples not to mention it hurts, and it can cause a hole looking thing on your skin which looks worse than the zit
~Have patience ( If you follow all of these steps then there is nothing more you can do just wait it out, and try to think about something else. Instead of worrying about you zit have fun or get some last minute studying for that quiz next week)

Hey girls today was kind of easy, but we have to do a big project. Hey girls I just realized that I have been a little controversial in terms of  my crush well let me tell you that telling the guy you like that you like him is actually easier on you, and he might treat you better. Now I know it might be hard to tell the guy you like that you like him, but it actually isn't that hard, but if you don't take my word for it here are some tips for telling you crush that you like him.

Hey girls sorry I haven't been blogging much, but I've been on vacation and I sprained my wrist. Anyway I'm back. Well you see this one girl she totally hates me, and acts like she is my friend one day and then hates and me, and tries to steal my friends. Hey girls. Today I have been given a mision. My mission is to imagine if I could go any where on a mission trip over spring break  where would I go. Well my church has a mission trip every year to honduras, and when I reach a certain age I can go. This trip is to an orphanage in honduras to give them clothes, money, and a card for each girl from each of the classes in religios ed, and the school. This is where i would go for a mission trip over spring break. Speaking of spring break; where are you going.

Hey girls today I am talking all about friends. Sometimes it is hard to make friends. Here are some tips for how to make friends. You see today a girl and i had a confrontation, and she said that she is having trouble making and keeping friends. I have some ideas why.

• just say hi ( introduce yourself you can't make friends if they don't know you)
• Don't judge others ( you never know a girl who you think is superficial and mean might be really nice)
• Say no to  the status cue ( don't be friends with others just because you think that just because you're a jock or a nerd doesn't mean you can't be friends with different people

Ok we all get it some times. A   viewer just told me that she has a debate coming up, and she is freaking out.Ive had that situation before. I know that anxiety you feel. Trust me it isn't as hard as it looks. • speak clearly ( you will sound confident, and they might just be intimidated by you)
• look over there heads ( just pretend its just you, the person you're debating against or the group that your debating against, and the teacher)
• And if all else fails imagine everyone in there underpants ( it is an age old secret that might give you the giggles and give you the confidence support you need)

You all know who they are. The girls that wish that could be celebrities. I call them celebrity wanna bees. Some times they can be complete jerks (i call them Bees).
